2010 Grant Applications are closed. New grant guidelines will be posted in this section of this site when new Grant applications are announced. For guidance, past guidelines as well as prospective guidelines will be generally as follows:
Subject to availability of funds from successful fundraising campaigns, Grant for Goods Foundation (GFGF) will award grants to accepted established nonprofit agencies in the following sectors whick participate in GFGF’s fundraising initiatives:
- Agencies addressing needs of the elderly to ensure safe residential living in facilities that provide competent care, or agencies that serve other needs of the very elderly in our communities;
- Agencies serving needs of the homeless for housing, employment and/or nutrition in order to gain a foothold in the mainstream economy;
- Agencies with programs to improve the lives of children, teens, and young adults.
GFG will fund only “end-use” substantive services and programs and will not specifically provide fund salaries, administrative expenses or independent contractor fees except as the same are essential in order to provide the described programs. GRANT APPPLICATION Application deadlines described. GFGF does not accept electronic applications. Grant applications must contain the following information in clear and legible form:
1. Applicant (organization) name, address, phone number, e-mail, website;
2. Incorporation date; 3. Names of Director and Professional Staff Members with contact information (E-mail, office/cell phone, address) for each; 4. A detailed description of the activities and programs of the Organization; 5. Proof of tax-exempt status; 6. The Organization’s most recent Financial Statement, Form 990 and Budget for the current Fiscal Year; 7. A detailed description of the specific project, amount requested, and an explanation as to how the program or activity fits within the Statement of Objectives of GFGF; a. Explain whether the program/activity to be funded is new or existing; b. Explain, if an existing program, whether the grant is to replace cut-back funds or will it expand the program/activity; c. List and explain the amount and program budget percentage of revenues or fees received from program participants; d. State whether, as of submittal date of the Grant Application, applications to other sources have been made for grants or donations to fund the program/activity; e. If the answer to “d” above is “yes”, inform GFGF of other funding received or reasonably anticipated future funding. 8. A detailed budgetary breakdown showing how the requested grant will be deployed (where the money will go). 9. Grantees are required to submit follow-up reports to GFGF by the end of six months of the 12-month period after Grantee receives funding, which reports describe in detail how Grant funds were utilized.
